Oh how I adore you😘💕💕💕

As I sit here tonight I simply can’t help but think about my life. I’m constantly beating myself up for the things I don’t do right. Rather than being happy about the things that I am doing right.

I have to remind myself that I’m not perfect, but I must strive daily to be my best.

There comes a period in your life when you have to encourage yourself. David in the Bible even had to encourage himself.

1 Samuel 30:6 
And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

Can I have your permission to be transparent?

There was a stage in my life I couldn’t find anything beautiful about myself. It was a struggle because I suffered with low self-esteem. I constantly felt like other people were better than me. That was something I had to deal with. I’ve cried a lot. I would always question why God didn’t make me beautiful.

The past few years I began working to build up my confidence. I’m still building! But hey, I’m a whole lot better. In that short amount of time, I began to love me.

I recently did a post about my PAMPER ME nights. Where I take the time to enjoy myself. I would read a book, give myself a facial,  or have a movie night.

I recall someone telling me if you can’t enjoy being with you; then don’t expect someone else to

That little message stuck with me!

Are you living the life Jesus Christ died for you to have?

I’m not speaking about that YOLO lifestyle?

Drake may say “You only live once that’s the motto”.

But the bible says in John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,

John 5:24 

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 16:22
So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

I thank God for the promise of eternal life. We must be careful of the lifestyle we live. We can’t be like the world.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Begin investing in you…

I never was the type to get out unless I had someone with me. Guess you can say I didn’t like being solo. I had to discover that love starts from within.
So imagine what I did?

I started to enjoy myself a little. I would go to the movies, shop, out to eat by myself.

It came to the point whenever a movie come out I don’t wait for people to come with me anymore. I just go see it myself. Now don’t get me wrong, I love having company, but I still enjoy my solo time.

It doesn’t matter if you single, married, or divorce enjoy YOU!

You have to love yourself before you can love anybody else. 

Don’t place your validation in people.

This evening I had to encourage myself while looking in the mirror. A few things I would do was find inspirational quotations. My favorite one was “I am fearfullyand wonderfully made”. I would literally put up messages on my wall. I made certain I read each message daily; including telling myself daily what I like about me.

I started to examine me for who God made me to be. Btw, I’m still discovering.

I need to start back encouraging myself daily.

So I just thought of writing a note each morning before I depart the house for work.I’ll write a note to myself. Then when I come home my spirit will be uplifted.

I encourage anyone who’s struggling with low self esteem to work on you. It may consume time but continue the process.

If you have to pray about it, do it. Allow the  Lord to instruct you on how to love yourself. Even if you have to cry and pour out to God. God will always comfort you.

Psalm 34:18
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Simply keep in mind things will get better. So be encouraged today my dear friends. The LORD is on your side.

Standing on FAITH

While studying the bible God lead me to read Psalms 19. Whenever God tells me to read a certain chapter or scripture I always ask for His understanding. At first I couldn’t realize why He told me to read Psalms 19. So I ask God what is you trying to tell me. And so I was led to read  Zechariah 9:8, follow by Luke 8:5. As I was reading it was like God was telling me He’s in control and to obey His law. When you  trust and abide in God, He will  keep you safe.

So as I was reading Luke 8:5 I was like Lord that’s it?!

Luke 8:5
“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up.

Hence I continued to read the rest of the chapter. As I came to verse 11-15 it was like an eye opener.

LUKE 8:11-15
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away.
14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. 15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.

One thing God told me was mediate on the WORD day and night.  My church is doing the faith journey. When it comes to faith you have to employ the WORD. If not how will you be able to remain firm against the wiles of the Devil? 

Some of us go to church receive the WORD walk in it for a while then backslide. Others stand on it for a while then allow the Enemy to creep up in their thoughts and make them question God; just like He had done to Eve. 

Genesis 3:1 ►
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

You have to stand on that promise God has granted you. Letting nothing stop you from believing it’s gonna happen.

I was reading about the life of Walt Disney. This man had dealt with some trouble trying to build his dream. He started off working for a company making commercials based on cutout animation. Afterwards he went to the theater. Shortly he went into partnership with Harman. They started doing a screen  for a cartoon show. Later that show was cancel due to the studio  become burden with debt.
He was force to file for bankruptcy. Today your average person would have really given up right? But no not Disney…He pressed on! To make a long story short, he went into business with his brother. They both produced a few films. Before then he made a new character someone stolen his rights and Disney’s animators. But he still pressed on! He had a few setbacks but he pressed on. Walt Disney theme parks happens to be one of the popular theme park in this country.

Some of us needs to be more like him. Never pass up on the promise. God often gives us desires that leads to faith. Are you willing to remain faithful, trusting God that He will bring it to pass?

After reading I decided to pick a verse from the bible.

I encourage you to do that as well. Then I wrote the verse on a folded piece of paper. In the inside of the paper I wrote down every promise God has given me.  So every time I get attack by the enemy I can hit Him back with the WORD and the promises. So I do hope this helps someone. I hope everyone have a great day!

Also, I like to add each promise I thank God for because I know He will bring it to pass. So be thankful for the things that are to come.

I found my dwelling place. (Psalms 91)

When I rest in the LORD, my troubles fade away. For He takes away my troubles. He honors and sustains me. I shall never be afraid of the troubles that come from my left or my right. The Enemy can throw as many blows, yet I can stand still in the ring because I know the battle is not mine. It’s all for the Lord.

I simply know my God is faithful. I don’t have to fear the plague that destroys at midday. Because in my God I found my dwelling place. In Him I found safety, it is in Him I’m respected. In him, there’s no terrors, no arrows can get at me, no plague can come near my tent.

He has Holy Angels sent on my behalf, they will lift me up in their hands. So that I won’t trip over a stone. My God is great. He is awesome in His power. Even when my former days may look better than my latter days He gives me hope.

Hence I stand still and trust in the Lord. I believe in Him alone. Many times I cried out to Him and He never failed me. I found refuge in the Most High. While thousands fall dead at my side, and ten thousand falls dead near my right hand. Who will protect me from the wicked? Certainly the Lord will!

I will say about the  Lord, He is my place of refuge. He truly is my shield! He’s my pillar of strength. He is the Almighty God.

For every poisonous snakes I shall encounter I will smash them. Every rock I could have tripped over was already  commanded for my Guardian Angel to raise me.

Thus now I rest without any cares because everything I just spoken has already been taken care.

What are you thinking?

Negative thoughts are just as bad as speaking negative words. I habituated to think just because I thought of something bad doesn’t mean I did something wrong. It’s just a random thought. In the bible it states “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. It’s absolutely true. Christians are enjoined to think things on purpose. I enjoy listening to Joel Osteen, he is such a wonderful guy. One thing he preaches about is how to walk in victory. Faith makes the impossible possible.

Philippians 4:8 ►

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
